The Skinetic Kickstarter has come to an end!
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who supported us, from our earliest followers to new members who discovered our technology, and especially to all the backers who placed their trust in us. While we didn’t reach our funding goal, this is far from the end—it’s the start of a promising new chapter!
Lessons learned and progress made
This campaign gave us invaluable insights and allowed us to connect with an amazing community of passionate individuals. Your feedback is helping us refine Skinetic into an even better product.
Building on feedback from earlier development phases, we had already made some critical upgrades before the Kickstarter, including:
Improved comfort: We adjusted the design for greater ergonomics and adaptability.
Wireless access: You can now enjoy the vest without restrictions thanks to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
During the campaign, we focused on bringing Skinetic closer to realizing its full potential by:
More accessible pricing: We lowered the cost to make Skinetic more affordable.
Expanded content: We’ve added new features like compatibility with more games, additional mods, and the Audio-to-Haptics function for truly immersive experiences.
However, we understand that content remains a significant challenge. That’s why, with upcoming releases, we’ll work even harder to expand available options and strengthen this crucial aspect.
What’s next?
As we mentioned on our Kickstarter page, the team will continue developing new features and expanding compatibility with a wider range of content. Currently, we are working on:
Compatibility with bHaptics and VR Chat, which will open the door to hundreds of new games and experiences.
We want to thank all our backers for your support by offering you the chance to purchase the vest at the same price as during the campaign, plus the possibility of getting an extra gift (you will tell us your decision through a survey to be sent to you). Those interested in acquiring a Skinetic will soon be able to pre-order Skinetic units through our website at 349€.
A new batch of units will be ready to ship starting in April 2025. In the meantime, we’ll keep listening to our community, improving the product, and collaborating with studios and influencers eager to test the difference that Skinetic’s HD haptics technology brings to gameplay.
